You can register any PC with Samsung Link with the minimum system requirements:
• CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.6 GHz or higher
• RAM: 2 GB or higher
• OS: Windows Vista/7/8
Note: Windows RT is not supported.
Note: MAC OS is not supported.

1. Access the Samsung Link site from your PC. (http://link.samsung.com)
2. Sign in with your Samsung account.
3. Install the Samsung Link PC software.
4. Register your PC

1. Remove the registration from 1 of the 5 other user accounts. Only a user can remove their own account.
2. There is a possibility that a hardware virtualization or platform virtualization is in use. If an unregistered account is represented as registered, check to see if the account is being used on a virtual, or guest, machine. The account information for the PC you want to register is being incorrectly recognized, so Samsung Link views the information as five registered accounts. The accounts are not actually registered, and an unregistered user cannot access your account.
3. Check the network card's unique identifier. A similar problem can occur when the unique identifier (MAC address) of the network card is not valid because of a problem with the network card.

1. When the network is connected, and you have signed into the service with your account

: You can access or play the content saved on the PC on a remote device or transfer content saved on the remote device to the PC.
Even if you have signed out of the service, you can still access the PC from a remote device if the PC is turned on and connected to the network.


 

2. This icon will change when the PC is not connected to the network. Please check the network connection.


 

3. The icon will change when a file is being sent or received.


 

4. The icon will change when there is a new version of Samsung Link. Visit link.samsung.com and go to Settings > Registered devices, and then install the update.

Sign in to Samsung Link and register your storage service under Settings > Registered storage.
For storage services, you must sign in with an account separate from your Samsung account. Register your storage with your existing account or go to the storage service site and sign up for an account.
Note: Different types of storage services are available in different countries. Only storage services that have partnered with Samsung Link are available.

Only the contents of the folders specified in each device and for each storage service are imported. The default path is as follows. You can modify/add paths for your PC under [Settings] > [Registered device] in the top-right of the website.
1. PC
- C:\Users\(username)
2. Mobile device
- All photos, songs, videos, documents and files saved in the mobile device
3. Storage Service
- Photos: Samsung Link\Photos
- Music: Samsung Link\Music
- Videos: Samsung Link\Videos
- All Files: Samsung Link\Files
Files are automatically categorized and arranged by file type, into [Photos], [Music], [Videos] and [Documents]. You can find all files types under [Files].

Check the device status.
If the device is turned off, the network is disconnected, or the application has been removed, you will not be able to connect to Samsung Link.

A temporary error might have occurred, or the PC software might not have finished installation.
1. Go to Settings > Registered devices and remove the registration from both the PC and mobile device.
2. Sign out, and then register each device again.

3. If the problem persists, uninstall the PC software then reinstall it, or delete the application update data from the mobile device.
Note: How to delete the application update data:
1. Select Samsung Link under Settings > Applications manager > All.

2. Select Uninstall updates.
3. Restart the Samsung Link application then allow it to update.

Nearby devices refer to the devices that support DLNA and are connected to the same network as the device you are currently using.
If you click the Samsung Link icon in the taskbar of your PC, you can see the Nearby device connection settings menu.
In this menu, you can select a folder to be shared with nearby devices, and allow/block their access.

Files received from nearby devices are categorized according to their multimedia file type. You can check them in their own categories in Samsung Link.
(e.g. Files received from Photos of a nearby device are saved in the Samsung Link Photos category.)
You can change the folders where files are saved under the Nearby device connection settings menu.

1. PC: Sign into Samsung Link and select Deregister for a registered device under Settings > Registered devices.
2. Mobile device:
- After running Samsung Link, hold down the device icon in the Samsung Link main screen then select Deregister.(ver.1.6)
- After running Samsung Link, click the down arrow and select the [Deregister] button.(ver.1.8)
